Handmade in Mumbai by young street kids struggling to build a life, these recycled newspaper bags are a wonderful youth initiative providing employment and self-sufficient opportunities. Saathi's Bag Project provides a holistic approach to income generation through daily stipends as well as providing an environment where the boys are able to take up responsibilities of running a business such as handling client relations and organising production to meet orders. The bags offered include a range of 3-ply recycled newspaper, brown paper, brown paper with recycled newspaper outer and handmade paper. Bags can be custom made with the option to have a logo screen printed on the bag. All bags have reinforced bottoms, metal grommets and soft rope handle.
